Troy’s complaint about the unfair job system shows his frustration with racial discrimination. How did this conversation make you think about fairness and opportunity in society today? If you were in Troy’s position, what would you do?

What I personally think is that depending on what job you have its fair but to be honest jobs are hard to get now as right now the current situation of the US is not good in my eyes with tariffs being placed many items in our stores have increased, also with companies having layoffs many won't be able to get a job easily as a job is required for experience for the job you want for the rest of your life. Summary- As a class finished reading scene 1 of the Book Fences  Reflect- Learned what makes a man and what doesn't as with Lyons he keeps asking for his dad for money even though he is 34 and can get a job somewhere instead of asking for money only when he's nearby his dad's house.

Write about a time when you were judged unfairly.

When doing a group assignment, my classmates judged me by my looks, I think they saw me as someone who doesn't care about their grades and doesn't follow directions. So when we were working on the assignment they didn't really pay much attention to me even if it was about the assignment and when they did respond they just only said "ok" and continued on working. We turned in the assignment and got a good score is that we just didn't really communicate well in the group. I didn't relly care as I didn't know them nor cared to get to know them once they acted like that towards me during the first moments of the assignment. Summary- Common Lit Reflect- Learned how a situations can lead to people to do bad acts or slowly make them do evil acts.

Reflect on a time when you discovered a new perspective that completely changed how you viewed a person, group, or place. How did your previous “single story” shape your thoughts or actions?

Before I visited Mexico I assumed that everyone didn't have much money and were living in poor conditions but once I arrived there I saw that everyone is living normally with no problems. There weren't sick people nor a significant amount of violence and I only saw just a peaceful town with people living there lives. Once I had this knowledge, I told myself to judge before knowing someone or not even have visited a location in the world. Summary- Common Lit Reflect- Judging something from only 1 source you have read or seen should not be a option as only knowing so little will make you think you know all about what that source told of the people you seeing or location visting.

Recall a specific incident when someone’s words offended you. Describe what was said, how it made you feel, and what actions you took in response. Reflect on whether your response helped resolve the situation or changed how you think about communication.

My mom called me fat even though I'm not and asked why did you call me that and she said my stomach was poking out but in actuality it was just my muscles not fat. I got mad at her for this and she also added that I needed to workout even though I already do which made me more mad and decided not to talk to her for the rest of the day nonetheless she went into my room to talk about my behaviour and asked what was my problem then I told her about she told me and said sorry for that but told me not behave like that again, I decided that was fair and we ended our argument. Summary- Went over what word offends each of us and went over the story "incident" Reflect- Now I know what words offend my classmates and how they feel about it so I shouldn't discuss about it in front of them as I don't want to hurt them in anyway.

Reflect on a specific gender expectation imposed by your culture that has been the most challenging to navigate. In 2-3 sentences, describe one clear example of this expectation and explain why it has been difficult for you. Ensure your response is concise, vivid, and focused on personal experience.

A gender expectation placed on me by my culture is being a gentlemen. A gentlemen who is upstanding and there for others in order to set a good example to everyone and also being able to dance as my mom tells me that a man can't get a woman as that is what a woman wants a man who is elegent. Summary- We went over the "Why I want a Wife" discussion questions Reflect- Most men want a Wife who can take care of the minor stuff while they're home while they themselves the husband works and provides for the family.

You are working on your storymap which is reflection on your past. Thinking about your future, as you graduate high school, what role does the Atlanta metro area play in your life? Do you plan to stay or move away? Explain your reasoning.

I plan to stay in Atlanta for at leastt for more than 1 more year after my senior year and not straight go to college and instead work for an entire year asI decided to live my life for that year by working as I want to save up money for an entire straight year before deciding going to college after that year is up. Summary- Worked on the 2 kinds story map presentation  Reflect- I was thinking of many events that can fit into my presentation and that met the requirements.

Think about a moment when you challenged your parent(s)’ rules or expectations. How did you feel, and what was the outcome?

I mom said she was going to do the dishes after we finished eating dinner but as soon as I left my dish at the sink she changed her mind last second and told me to wash all the dishes and I got annoyed and mad I said no. She got mad at me for not deciding not to do it as her reasoning is that she can tell me what to do and I didn't have a problem with that but I was mad that she changed her mind last second just because she wanted to. We argued but in the end my agreed it was unfair to assign me something last seconond and she won't do that again.  Summary- We read Two Kinds By Amy Tan Reflect-  I got reminded that parents can't just lay and force their children onto careers they didn't ask in the first place as this can strain their relationship.

You’ve been in Multicultural Literature for about 4.5 weeks. How has the class been going for you so far?

So far the 4.5 weeks I've been here in this class just feel like just a continuation from last years class as I had this class before so everything is familiar with me especially the bloggers and the vocab assginment we just did. Overall it feels like I only took a 2 month break and came back and just like they say "Just another day at the office." Summary- Worked on vocabulary lesson 2 on google slides Reflect- Relearned words and learned new word definitions from the vocabulary given to us.
