Think about a moment when you challenged your parent(s)’ rules or expectations. How did you feel, and what was the outcome?

I mom said she was going to do the dishes after we finished eating dinner but as soon as I left my dish at the sink she changed her mind last second and told me to wash all the dishes and I got annoyed and mad I said no. She got mad at me for not deciding not to do it as her reasoning is that she can tell me what to do and I didn't have a problem with that but I was mad that she changed her mind last second just because she wanted to. We argued but in the end my agreed it was unfair to assign me something last seconond and she won't do that again.

Reflect-  I got reminded that parents can't just lay and force their children onto careers they didn't ask in the first place as this can strain their relationship.
